This page explains how to delete your MetaStrat account and what happens to each category of data. It is accessible without logging in.
From the MetaStrat app
- Open the app and log in.
- Go to Settings, then Delete my account.
- Enter your current password to confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent: you are logged out of all your devices and can no longer log in with this account. A confirmation e-mail is sent to the account's previous address.
From the website
Self-service deletion is available in the app. From the website, write to contact@metastrat.com from your account's e-mail address asking for it to be deleted: the MetaStrat team carries out the deletion and confirms it to you by e-mail. Proof of identity may be requested in case of reasonable doubt.
What is deleted
When the account is deleted, the following data is erased:
- your name, e-mail address, telephone number, presentation text and profile information (company, city, website, job, keywords);
- your photo and the administrative documents you uploaded (files removed from storage);
- your bank details;
- your links (social networks, websites);
- your connected calendar, your availability and your calendar settings;
- your notifications and the devices registered for push notifications;
- your app login sessions, which are revoked;
- the mission sharing links you created, which are revoked, along with their recipient's address.
What is anonymised or kept
The account is not erased from the database but anonymised: your e-mail address is replaced by a dummy address that cannot receive any mail, your name becomes “Deleted account”, the password is replaced by a random value known to no one, and the account is deactivated.
The accounting records linked to your activity (invoices, quotes, payments, time entries, missions) are kept for the legal retention period, as the law requires us to, and the history of the other parties is preserved. They are detached from your identity and no longer give any access to your account.
Special cases
- If you manage a collective or a team, deletion is refused until that management is transferred or relinquished: please contact us.
- An administrator account cannot be deleted from the app: please contact the MetaStrat team.
